I used some purple power aluminum wheel cleaner you can buy at Auto Zone and it cleaned up my wheels real good

 

If you want to polish them up use Mothers mag and aluminium polish.

 

Bman is right, Mothers is about the best you'll find

 

Mine cleaned up nice using brake dust remover sprayed on a rag.

 

I washed her up last night. Used Mag wheel spray on cleaner and rinsed w/pressure washer on wide fan setting (I know this is not a popular option for some here but I ride in any weather). I brighten up the rims with cheap-o chrome cleaner and if needed 0000 steel wool.
