This is a magneto / distributor set up from a 1939 allis chamlers motor grader. (Road Grader) The unit was not outputting spark, i cleaned up the coil, points, condenser, and regapped points - see how it works now

The engine on this is neat, starts on gas then you switch itr over to diesel (same engine). When you switch it over the compression release is negated and the disel injection pump is activated, the coil is grounded so no more spark and carb is deactivated so no gas goes in the intake.

When you shut it down you shut it down on gas to clean out the carbon from the diesel.

Amazing.
