I recently changed stator and bike has only started twice both times it died when left to idle. Getting gas, spark, and turning fast enough to start, but no fire

What about the pickup coils and the wires for them. Were they left in place and reconnected correctly? Sometimes people remove them and get them mixed up.
No fire at all, no backfire?
Have you tried adding gas or starting fluid into the intake? Or could it be getting too much gas?
