ok guys I took off the chrome cover that is held on with the three screws...
when i tapped off the cover to see where the stator was oil poured out.
Is that normal.. i have a very low chargeing rate so i am going investigateing.
the bike has a gel battery and the RR has been relocated..So i am thinking of replaceing the stator but now with the oil in there i am wondering if that was the problem and it just needs cleaning and new o rings or gaskets....
thanks for any input...

The stator does run in the oil. It seems that you may be over full. The oil level should be at about the center to three fourths on the sight glass. It is normal for oil to be where the stator is.
