I checked, it's close enough to 88 cubic inches that's probably why they used that number.

88 cu. in. is 1442cc

Edit: Kawasaki claims 1470cc.

And I found this...

"At 1,470cc (88 cubic inches) the Vulcan 88 is the largest production V-twin cruiser on the market today. It's probably the longest, too."

I figured the biggest Boulevard was the longest, I measured one, just a tick over eight feet.

I'd throw $500 at it, eBay the parts of nothing else.

The biggest problem for me is the location. It's one heck of a drive from me. For some reason it showed up in my local Facebook Marketplace listings, and I didn't even notice his location was different until after I started posting here.

How far is it?
edit: I see now, east Tenn.

Marketplace does the same thing to me, for being such a tech giant it seems like the interface is a bit clunky.

This Drifter is about an hour north of me. I've seen it, it's ok. Would make a great choice for restoration project, just not my style. I'm still into Twisties. BTW, none of the 1500 drifters had a plastic oil pump gear. Interesting.
