EDIT: For some reason the owner thinks this is a 750, but it's not. What size is this? Would any of the parts on this bike fit the 750.
An '88? The ad says '92?That looks like a Vulcan 88 1500. That’s the 2nd time one of these bikes came up in discussion in a couple days.
So, with those kinds of miles on it, is it likely the engine is blown?VN1500 1st gen. I'd buy it. The main issue was the exploding plastic oil pump gear = fried engine. Kawasaki used plastic up to 1999. 😡 Never did a recall.
88 is part of the model name, instead of the year.An '88? The ad says '92?
I have yet to hear back from the seller...
AHHHHH, thanks!88 is part of the model name, instead of the year.
It’s a Vulcan 88 1500cc. That’s the name, just like the Delta 88 lol. Like is said the other day it looks like a 750 on roids. An '88? The ad says '92?

The biggest problem for me is the location. It's one heck of a drive from me. For some reason it showed up in my local Facebook Marketplace listings, and I didn't even notice his location was different until after I started posting here.I checked, it's close enough to 88 cubic inches that's probably why they used that number.
88 cu. in. is 1442cc
Edit: Kawasaki claims 1470cc.
And I found this...
"At 1,470cc (88 cubic inches) the Vulcan 88 is the largest production V-twin cruiser on the market today. It's probably the longest, too."
I figured the biggest Boulevard was the longest, I measured one, just a tick over eight feet.
I'd throw $500 at it, eBay the parts of nothing else.
How far is it?The biggest problem for me is the location. It's one heck of a drive from me. For some reason it showed up in my local Facebook Marketplace listings, and I didn't even notice his location was different until after I started posting here.
Mine does it even with the filter set.Filters let's you set distance from you. I looked this morning, seems prices are coming down.
