Ok Ladies and Gents,
I have just won a rebuilt carb (six months ago supposedly) off of ebay. When i get it...what should i do to preserve it? Should i soak it in a bucket of something? or what? Then, what do i do to prevent it rotting away? Ziplock bag? Grease? Thanks

Send it to me, I'll take care of it.
Zip locking with a bit of oil or wd sounds like a good idea.

Oh i mean ..i won the auction. On the description it says(supposedly) that the carbs were rebuilt 6 months prior to the wreck. The picture does appear to have new parts added or replaced. I will know more when i receive it. I wound up buying two starters though...got sucked into the online auction thing....learned the hard way. Now i will resell one starter on ebay!
