In August a guy asked me what I wanted for my Vulcan. I thought it might be time to sell it so I gave him a price and he took it. I watched him ride it away thinking now what do I do. I looked at different bikes but never could find anything that I liked better than the 750. I finally found a winter project in Craig's List. Boy does it need work. I have been buying parts on E-Bay and here on the forum. I have a stove in my garage so I ill have a warm place to work. I'll be asking questions now and then I'm sure I'll need help n this one

I sold a highly modified hand built '66 Ford F100 truck the same way. I built it myself, and it had a healthy 390/C6 in it, and got 8 mpg. A guy approached me in a Walmart parking lot and ask. We looked it over, I gave him a run down on it, and gave him a pretty high number pricewise, and he jumped at it. We went to the bank and did the deal. Money went straight into the bank. Just couldn't afford to drive it anymore, especially now that I have no more dirt bikes or quads.

I'm a little confused. You sold a Vulcan in good condition, and bought that thing? I mean I guess I could understand if you had bought a whole different kind of bike, but another Vulcan 750, in need of a lot of work?

$6,000,000 Bike?

And the MONEY. The VN750 is OLD technology, more than a quarter century old. It's hard to believe the VN750 could have so many dedicated fans in a world where everybody wants electronic everything. I'm just waiting on a thread where someone decides to try and put EFI on it.

Anyway, best of luck with your project.

I'm waiting for one putting in ABS , traction control, and the much anticipated expresso maker.

Turbocharger thread perhaps?
I'm thinkin' heated driver and passenger seat, electric windshield retraction system, and auto dim side mirrors... no?

Windshield wipers? That's just silly. They'd wear into a plastic windscreen.

I did once see a Goldwing with a wiper on it.

They do make heated seat inserts for bikes. Several bikes, including my Yamaha have windscreens that can be raised or lowered by the push of a button... Adapting one of these into the Kaw touring fairing seems feasible.

Have not really seen auto dim mirrors yet, but don't see why you couldn't get them to work on a bike.
