Hey guys. I'm finishing up the rebuild on my '86 750. There's this tube on the right side of the rear carb That I can't for the life of me figure out where it goes. It has a vacuum (or air blowing out?) pulsing with the RPMs when running.

Here's the kicker: If I don't seal the end of the tube with my finger then that cylinder runs horribly when cold. When the engine warms up, that cylinder runs a little worse when the tube is sealed. I am at a loss.

Please, if anyone knows anything about this let me know.

Normally that is a vacuum line which goes back to the air injection valve which is/was a part of your exhaust system. Lots of people here remove that and simply plug the vacuum nipple on the carb to stop the issues you're having.

Ah okay. Thank you! I'll just plug her up and we should be good to go.
Mine had a pipe fitted, it was bent back on itself and a cable tie round it, removed it and fitted a rubber cap to it, only because it was neater, the same pipe on the other car goes to the fuel tap!
