What did you do on your VN today? Pictures or it didn't happen!

Swapped my final drive oil.

Also cleaned the final drive with some foaming Simple Green.

Today I swapped the final drive oil, almost finished the MOSFET r/r wiring, put the drive unit back in.
Other pictures are of work from the last few days on front brakes, light bar, etc.
Sorry for the awful garage, it'll be cleaned again once the bike is out.

I'd posted up some pic's of what happened on my VN750 yesterday, but.....

1, I think the wife would divorce me for posting such pic's on line. :wow:

2, such pic's, I'm sure are not legal here and would most likely get me banned!

3, ok, busted. there are no pic's, because it didn't happen! >:)

The lights will be wired so I can turn them Off, On, or automatically On when the high beams are engaged. Should make it easy to run around town without blinding everyone but have all the lighting I could want for back roads at night.

The master cylinder is available on eBay for $50:

Remade my stator gasket today as I had a small leak that was driving me nuts.

Went on a 50 mile ride and the VN sang beautifully. I was too busy riding to take pics.

Definitely want to install a hydraulic clutch and stainless brake lines..

Sold the Mustang seat that caused me so much pain, they ain't fer everybody, or every body. Worse than stock for me. It's headed for Norway now.

Starting the quest for a 900, Meanstreak, or Harley seat.

I am very happy with my meanie seat, but I sit a good inch or 2 forward than I did on the mustang. More 'aggressive' riding position, per-se.

Well that ain't gonna work either. edit: maybe with drag bars

Pretty sure the mustang pushed me an inch or two more forward than stock. At any rate, the end of the passenger section pressed into my belt/low back back so hard, it was really too painful to ride more than 10 miles. I kept scooting forward, then in a half mile I was right back to the pain spot.

May be time for another bike with reasonable ergonomics, my legs ain't gettin' no shorter, but hell I'm only 5' 11".

my 900 seat moved me a little bit.. I just pushed the bars forward a bit to compensate.. yea, they are slightly higher now, but more comfortable position
