Looking for a pair of acct's that fit an '04 VN750. Want to make a set of mcct's. Would like to be able to take my time and play around with different designs. Want to avoid the "hurry" syndrome of "I gotta get it fixed quick".

Had the same idea, to reduce downtime. Show us what you come up with. Mine aren't clacking yet, but I think one cylinder is trying.

These don't look bad for the money, just need to find the right color. Not sure if the o-ring is on the wrong side or the bolt needs flipped the other way. Not much to go wrong, it's a solid billet with a bolt in it.

I guess this one is truly manual, adjust while riding. :) ;)

Just had a thought ... A 1/4" or 5/16" thick plate with a nut welded on one side, an o-ring or two, a gasket, bolt, and a jamb nut. It could use larger threads like the TOCs, the larger hex head makes it easier for adjusting by hand.

Could probably cut the stock housing flush with the bolt surface and Tig weld a nut onto that. Think I might look at this. I can't Tig it but I know a shop. Should be a quick weld job.

Hey, :)

I'll take a pair of stock accts myself, broken or good, either way. I'm going to saw them in half. That's after boscoe gets his.

Just a note when making your own, Make sure the lock-nut is proud of the bolts used to secure the MCCT to the engine. The home-jobber ones that were on my bike are impossible to adjust because the mounting bolts block any wrench access. Frustrating. The ones I've seen for sale have a threaded tube for the adjustment bolt that extends outward quite a ways, eliminating that spacing issue. Tig welding a couple bolts (stacked and with threads well aligned) to the plate should do the job nicely.

I'm thinking of just making a set from scratch. Have the steel, tools, etc to do it. 1/4" steel plate, grade 5 or grade 8 bolts, etc. Am wondering if "oil leaks" will be a problem. Anyway, winter is a good time for "tinkering". Tks for replies all.
