It was tax free weekend her in SC and NC so decided to look for some cheap work pants/shirts. I went by the lame motorcycle section and there was a box of these backpacks for $34.95 so I took one out and had a look at it and was fairly impressed so I went ahead and purchased it.

Glad I did, the quality is absolutely amazing and I'm guessing you would see this in a motorcycle shop for about twice that or more. It's made of that thick rubbery material and is definitely waterproof. It's a great size and just discovered the pockets in the underside of the 'hood'. When you ride with it, it sits perfectly, for me anyway, on the passenger deck and you feel like you have a backrest. Driving to work was lie driving an easy chair, delightful.

Here's the link to walmart I think. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Fieldline-Motorcycle-All-Weather-Backpack-Black/23591041

AWESOME

Sorry to tell you... it is NOT waterproof. I have one.... I ruined 2 bible among other things in it. It does have decent space, and I had no problem with zippers catching or breaking... but in my opinion from having it about a tear is that its fairly, if maybe a little over priced. If it works for you, then great... but it it nit waterproof, so be careful.

Seems pretty substantial to me. I stand corrected on waterproof. I don't plan on riding in weather where I need a waterproof bag but I would think this would be pretty close to dry even in a big downpour. Since it has rained like every day here in SC all summer, I'm sure I will get the opportunity to evaluate further! Still, the quality seems way above the price. But let me wear on it a while. I beat things up pretty good.

Nice find. Wal-Mart seems to have EVERYTHING. I even found New Mexico Chile sauce here.

I was looking for a decent backpack for the bike and this would be great...if only a Walmart near me would actually carry some of the stuff they advertise...ugh!
Same deal with the leather tool bag they claim to carry.

Kc... I'll sell you mine... I put on a trunk and don't use it anymore. Say $20 plus shipping?

I was looking for that option as well....must be a Jersey thing, but it won't give me the option.
When I was looking I thought I saw that you could get it at the Rockaway location. I believe that may be close to your neck of the woods.

Was hunting for this...called the Secausus store and after 20 minutes on the phone they said they don't have it. I even went to my local store and asked them to have one shipped here, but they don't do that for some reason. I was now just aggravated and decided I would most likely just get the one Chris32250 offered up. BTW...thanks Chris!!

Well...I went for a ride yesterday and when I came home...guess what I found waiting for me on the kitchen table.

Yup! The wife saw how frustrated I was with Walmart so she drove the 20 miles to the Rockaway store and got one for me.

This is a nice roomy bag and it seems well made. I am now a very happy camper!! :smiley_th

I just picked one up after driving to Branson, the closest store that had them. Seems like it will suffice. I have one question though. How did you all fasten it to the bike? Seems just sliding it on the short backrest is inadequate. It has no straps for fastening or rings to tie to.

Picked one up as well. Looks well made for the price. Will be using it next weekend. Plan on using bungy cords as the supplied strap is not placed well.

The straps seem to fit well on the VN750 extended backrest.

This bag is bigger than I expected and should serve me well as a camping backpack or a decent travel pack on the bike.
