I am new to this site as I just purchased a 1998 VN750, I have only been riding for a year I started off with a Kawasaki Z4A with a 440cc engine and my friend taught me how to ride and I rode around all summer. This really gets into your blood I love riding and I love the VN750 that I just bought.

I am curious about something that is probably a very simple question for most of you out there. My friend has a 1998 VN800 with a vtwin engine and My 750
has a Vtwin engine. Why does mine have four spark plugs???? Do they fire at the same time for each cylinder?????? As his is also A Vtwin Design, why does he not have four plugs.

I thank you in advance for any info that could shed light on this for me and look forward to contributing to this site.

Oh by the way the top end of the 750 is Awesome I actually overtook my friend with the VN800 in a race.

Felt good.......

Yea, both plugs fire at the same time in each cylinder, gives the gas a better burn. Bike is quick for what it is huh ?

By the way, welcome !
