Like lots of folks here I too am having issues. What makes it peculiar to me is the way my voltage is showing :
Voltage at battery :
engine off , key off 12.93
engine off , key on 12.4 to 12.3

engine idling 13.1
engine running between 1500 and 2000 14.7 to 14.8 VOLTS
4000 rpm 14.3
5000 rpm 14.25

I have repeated these tests over the past three days and they are pretty consistent readings , the 1500 to 2000 reading puzzles me . Any ideas ? Thanks, Mike

Check all your grounds, clean them, test again, then report back.

The demands of the ignition system is tied directly to RPM..... more RPM, more juice needed.

I agree with you completely, that is why I don't understand why I am getting more voltage at 1700 to 2000 rpm than at 5000 to 6000

It could be that the ignition system is using move 'voltage' at the higher RPM level, reducing the available voltage.....

Your charging voltage is about the same as every other vulcan owner. The RR on these bikes are not perfect, the voltage at the higher RPM's are right in the park.

Keep tabs on your water level in your battery - if you have AGM battery and it gets weak, pop the sealed top and check the water level.
