Ok so a while back i was tossing up between getting the Mutazu GA hard bags or the Mutazu FY saddlebags.
I decided i liked the FY style, with the lights on top, but i didn't order them from Mutazu, I found the exact same bags on another site for a bit cheaper, and much cheaper shipping.

These and the GA are basically the same price, but these are a little smaller, the dimensions for these are :17 long x 5.5 wide x 11.5 high. While the GA bags are: 17 long x 7 1/2 wide x 12 1/4 high.
So the GA ones are 2.5 inches wider, they are the same length, and 3/4 of an inch taller/deeper.

Anyway I ordered the smaller FY style from Visions and then ordered the K&S Saddlebag support kit from Ronayers.com. I went with the smaller ones because i don't need alot of storage, I have a trailer i pull when i need to bring alot of stuff. And I like the style and the lights. I know you can always cut a hole in the GA bags and put in a light, but thats more work lol.

The only issue i had was with the turn signals. I couldn't keep them on so i am using the lights on the bags as turn signals. This is because when i try putting the signals on, they are right where the lights on the bags are and they hit and can't open the bag. I know i could move them forward a bit, but was worried about crowding the passenger area. I couldn't drop the bags down there isn't enough material between where they are and the top of the lid opening.

Anyway I am kinda happy with the way they turned out. The bags have a molding on the one side where the brackets go, the molding doesn't quite match the saddlebag support bars, it's close. I would prefer if they didn't do the molding like that and just did it flush for mounting. The molding is like a small ditch in the plastic where you would think its for the supports and there are two little hole knockouts up top that you can drill out to mount it, but like i said, it doesn't quite match up to the support bolt pattern. I drilled out the forward one, and the rear one i had to drill to the rear of the knockout by like 1/2 inch. But it works.

Like i said, i am happy with the way they turn out and look and the whole setup was cheap thats a plus.
I just wanted to show how these bag look and work and mount. I may post more pics later of the molded side and the holes i drilled for more detail.
Do i recommend these bags, yeah kinda, if you want something a little smaller than the GA bags, and you want a light that's already in the bag. Otherwise go ahead and go the with GA bags.

One quick question: Do the GA bags have a molding for support brackets on one side??? If so, do they line/match up?

Sweet!

Did you have to make any electrical mods? Sometimes, when lights or other electrical items are added, it puts too much stress on the VN 750 system.

No i didnt so far, like i said i took off the stock blinkers, these just hooked right up. I hardly doubt they will stress the elec system.

Nice job! I like the hinges better than the ones on the Mutazu GA's.

I am going to take a few more pics and post up later. Will take some of the inside of the bags too.

Like i said, the GA ones are 2.5 inches wider and 3/4 inch deeper.
There is a thread, Mutazu GA bags on K&S Brackets, and in those pics, he has the stock turn signals on, they are behind the bags, and i am still not sure how that works, they may be so close to the bag and clash with the opening of the bags, but i know you dont want to move them forward much or you will cramp the passenger riding leg area.
I dont carry a passenger much at all, my little sis and nephew and niece, that's all i've ever had ride really.

Yeah, I'm pretty familiar with that thread ;) the turn signals do not clash with the bags at all, but they do make getting the key into the locks on the bags a tight fit. I'm considering either shortening the turn signal stems or relocating the turn signals down to the lower license plate bolts area. But for now it's work just fine for me.

Yeah i thought about maybe relocating them to the license plate area as well. But i am not sure if they will be seen when im pulling my trailer. In their stock places they can still be easily seen. But for now i am just going to use the lights on the bags for blinkers.

How big (i.e., approx max weight) is the trailer you're towing with your VN750? Did you buy the trailer--or fab it yourself? Pics?
Thanks for the compliment about the bags.

As for the trailer, i am not sure how much it weighs, prolly about 120lbs empty i am guessing tho.
It is partially a custom fabd trailer.
I bought the trailer at Mills Fleet Farm, and you can find similar trailers at Menards and maybe home depot. Its a FIMCO trailer. Basically its one of those lawn carts you pull behind your lawnmower or atv. I think i paid $108 for it.
Of course I didn't use the tires/wheels and axle it came with, i just needed the box. I bought leaf springs, hubs, tires (5 bolt pattern the same type i have on my flatbed atv/sled trailer), and bought the wheel well fenders. And of course the LED lights.

I had a welder/fabricator do up my bike hitch, and then he modded the trailer, made a lid, and welded all the parts on and so forth.

They actually have one thats a bit longer, but i was worried about weight being an issue since its only a 750cc bike.

My next mod for next year is redoing the tongue of the trailer, making it longer with a platform in front of the box to strap on a cooler or gas jug.

I have actually had alot of bikers stop and talk to me about the trailer and hitch.

If you want more detailed pics, you will have to give me time to do it, im working two jobs, i work from 6am-4pm at one job, then my part time job from 5-9(10)pm, so i am busy during the week.

The hitch is a pain in the but to take off and put on, scratches the hell out of my rear fender. But next time i take it off i will take pics and measurements.

Oh here are more pics of the saddle bags etc..

In the 1st pic, photo1489 you can see the molding, and the holes and how the forward one is right on and the rear one is off a bit.

So far i have my map in there, my rainsuit, some bungee cords, some tools (allen wrenches, screwdriver kit, small crescent wrench, etc..) In the other one i keep extra gloves, sunglasses, clear safety glasses, etc.

Trailer hitch, trailer, double flag mount, luggage rack, hard locking saddlebags - does it make sandwiches? ;)

Nice bike bro, I like the sticker you have on the back too...
