Washed my girl yesterday, while waiting for the gang to show up, the skies opened up and she got rinsed again, a real frog swamper. We also got caught in the rain twice on the road and huddled in someone's tractor shed for quite a while, luckily nobody complained. The ride back was interesting, dodging deer, downed trees, gravel and mudslides.
So we finally get going and I have no turn signals and no flashers. Long story made short, the flasher for the signals/hazards is full of water. Got it dried out and it's working fine now.
I have no idea where the flasher unit is supposed to be mounted, this one has always been dangling around and I had placed it with the plug facing upward behind the right side cover. Perfect position to collect water. Someone had also used Scotch tape on it for some reason.
It's going to get sealed and mounted somewhere with the plug facing downward.
So heads up, if your flasher is dangling (pun intended), place it with the plug oriented downward so it doesn't fill up with water (no pun intended).
I'm pretty sure Maw Kaw didn't just leave her flasher dangling, but where did she put him?
