Does anyone have a problem with the cheap plastic compartment cover on the back of their seat? My cover came off during ride and I almost lost the tools and other papers. Is there anything I can do to buy or make a replacement? Thanks, Tom
Hi Tomdag, replacement trunk covers are available... check for a post a couple days ago... with same situation. He just purchased one. To avoid this situation, I placed a piece of Black duct tape on inside of hinge. I have seen a link on 750.com of procedures to install a metal hinge.... with professional results !
Same story happened to me on a ride up to the Iron Pony in Columbus. I am lucky I didn't lose anything to valuable in that little tool box. Anyway, I bought me a Sissy bar bag and it covers up the hole there. I had looked for a replacement and even found one on I think it was Ron Ayers.com web site but hated to pay the $$$. Someone on here put together a chrome cover that looked really nice. Good luck!
