Change "done correctly" to "splicing the black into the yellow/red, but leave the yellow/red connected to the JB" and I'll agree. :) Every schematic I've seen indicates that the removal of the yellow/red wire from the JB removes the ground path for the primary coil of the headlight relay, requiring the blue-wire mod to be done to get your headlight back.
You may be right, and I'm not able to study the diagrams at the moment, or review this thread.

I already had the Blue Wire mod done when I did the Two-Wire.

My position has been to take as much away from the JB as possible, I would sell the bike before keeping the headlight relay.

Keeping the JB relays in operation is just asking for trouble later.

I did this yellow /black. red /black cut from J.B.and joined togather. If I do not want to do the blue wire mod ? Do I want to connect these 2 wires back to the cut yellow /black ??
Yes, connect the spliced wires back to the yellow/black connection on the JB.
I heartily agree with Spockster that the blue-wire mod is the better alternative. ESPECIALLY when chasing gremlins, since these relays are known failure points that can cause grounding issues.

Doing the blue wire mod. when moving the blue wire out of the plastic connection is it best to push it out with a small screw driver or can it be pulled out successfully? Is cutting it and sealing the ends an option? thank you.

There's a tiny lock tab on the copper spade. I use a sewing needle to push the tab, then the spade slips right out. Paper clip was too large.

I know it’s been a while since this thread was active but I’m hoping someone can clarify for a newbie (aka me) I’m going to be installing a mossfit r/r so if I do this two wire mod as well as the blue wire mod, that will take care of any issues caused by the fact that the stator and r/r run only to the battery now correct?

For the Blue Wire mod...

Be sure to clip the stator wire that runs to the junction box for the headlight relay. That stops AC voltage going into the junction box.

Thanks yea with the mossfet r/r all three stator wires run into it and then it wires directly to the battery no stator wire to the junction box

In the first post when you said * Be aware that this mod disables the neutral start switch. Your bike will start in gear with the clutch engaged after doing this mod.*, Are you saying that when I start the bike I will to have it in gear? I know Kawasaki put in that safety switch so when you start the bike in 1st it wont start, but if its in neutral it will. Are you saying that doing this mod will basically "disable" that feature?

Yes, if you hit the start button in gear with the clutch engaged, the engine will crank and the bike will lurch forward.

I may of worded my question incorrectly lol, I mean that when you say it disables the neutral switch, its fine as long as the bikes in neutral when it starts, the electric start will work as normal, correct?

Yes the bike will still start normally in neutral. It just means you have to pay more attention to ensure the bike is in neutral as the safety feature to PREVENT starting in gear is DISABLED.

Everything will work as normal with the mod, what WILL NOT work is the safety feature, normally the bike will only start if in neutral. If you mod it then that will be disabled, so the bike can start if left in gear. So be sure to always start the bike with the clutch lever pulled. I think, if not mistaken, it also disables the kill switch on the side stand that shuts the engine if you try to shift into gear with the stand down.

I have done the two wire mod and the side stand switch still operates as normal. Only the neutral start switch is disabled

I was going to say it disabled the side stand switch but then I remembered I disabled it before I did the two wire mod
