SuperBrace Fork Brace, Group Purchase, Six Buyers Needed

227 Views 20 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  Spockster
Buddy has introduced us to the manufacturer of the SuperBrace fork brace.

The manufacturer has offered to give us a "smokin' deal" if we buy the last six braces he has in stock. Sounds like there may be no more, not sure yet.

I'll contact them later to get more details but I'm testing the interest first.

The regular price is $99, plus $20 if you get the extra fork protectors. From that we're being offered a "smokin' deal" below that price.

I intend to ask for at least one picture, what finish is on them, such as chrome, polished aluminum, or black. Also will ask whether he'll ship to each individual or if they must be shipped to one buyer then distributed from there.

Just testing interest here before contacting, let me know if there are other details we need.

Installation is about ten minutes.

Guys I have no economic connection with this company but I own two Vulcan 750 both with forks braces I paid 300.00 for mine this one accessory is a game changer as far as stability and wobble is concerned I noticed an immediate improvement in all riding especially in the turns I Would wholeheartedly recommend this accessory and I think you can pick it up there for less than the original offer to me of $99 per so we can find six guys that wanna buy it we’ll get a deal on a really good deal I’m concerned for your safety and for you guys ride with no fenders I get that you want your bike to be blacked out or whatever but if you were to put the super brace on and then paint it Black is still a tie your forks back together and that’s so important for stabilityWell it’s up to you now not a lot of money and a lot of game will be improved
I’d be interested if there’s a “killer” deal better than $99.
Tarozzi braces are still available. If Superbrace is under $99 that's a great deal. I might be interested. Not sure if I'm gonna build the 700 or part it out.

I just looked at this Tarozza brace just looking at it it’s not as well made as the super brace the super brace is in two piece horizontal made from aircraft aluminum and locks on to the forks with the back second half it is sturdy and is in two pieces and well machined my opinion
I'd be interested if I know the cost. Thank you for sharing
I'm in for up to $99 plus shipping to zip 87107.
If he sells 6 at $85 that's over $500 for old stock just getting dusty.
When I spoke to him, he said he was selling them for $99 but if we would buy six he will give us a smoking deal. I don’t know what a smoking deal is. I wanted to find out first if there was enough guys that were interested I don’t know where the $85 come from unless someone else spoke to him but I can tell you is I have one both bikes and a very pleased with them. I have no connections financially to him. I just think it’s a good opportunity. I paid over 300 bucks.

I'll try calling this week and get the price so everyone knows what the deal is.
The $85 is just my suggested "for instance" price. Where he would make some money selling the last 6 he has. And we would get a good product. It's probably been many moons since he has sold one. I'd guess that would be about $100 total to us delivered.
I don't know, "smokin' deal" implies a fairly substantial discount to me, but we'll find out this week.

Nobody has mentioned the fork protectors, I don't think I need those myself. Not even sure if I'll be riding but I'm willing to be the sixth buyer if needed.

I'll get a price and shipping details. It could get a bit involved if they're only doing one shipment, versus shipping to each individual.

Seems like it would be simpler and cost less to have direct shipping to each individual. Perhaps a password or some type of ID. Then we could call or order online, pay up according to our shipping, and be done.
Talked to Scott at SuperBrace, here's what I have...

$80 + shipping to me
I would then have to handle shipping to each individual buyer from here. Cost unknown.

They have 14 braces, 12 highly polished and 2 black anodized.

The braces are ready to accept fork protectors, except one of the black ones is not machined for fork protectors (design change). The fork protectors or fork guards come in black or stainless and are $12.95/set.

I'll be getting some pictures later.

After these are gone they will probably discontinued according to Scott.

I agree and haven't been able to establish a price on doing that. I'm guessing $80 + $15 shipping.
So $95 to get your brace direct to you.

It 's much simpler this way. They're already set up to ship a brace, I'm not.

We'll get pics, see how many buyers we have after a bit, then I can get in touch with Scott again.
There's a pretty good chance the KLR650 brace is the same part, I'll ask about that. If they're discontinued you might be able to use the KLR piece. I know the fork seals are the same part.

This is a KLR650 brace.....

Sounds like he’s trying to pawn some of the work off on to you/us. The price is good but I’d see if he’d r entertain shipping direct. If he’s using PayPal, we can provide our IDs in advance

I think he will ship direct, he just didn't give me a definite price on that. I'm not wild about shipping up to 13 packages. It's still going to be the same price if not cheaper if they ship.

Worth noting, the price for the KLR brace is $169.

So, who is definitely in on this deal?

Me, clem, taco, mmart .... That's four so far. Did I miss anyone?

I'll want one of the polished braces. And I won't need the fork protectors.

Just want to be able to show them what we'll be ordering. I think they might be able to give us a code to use with the orders , like VN750GROUP, etc.
What are the fork protectors? I mean the name explains it, but I’m guessing it’s not necessary for the brace itself.
