Hi, I have a 94 vn750, bought it knowing the stator was bad. I found out the regulator was not changed last time with the stator. Any recommendations on the type of regulator?

I swear by the Shindengen FH020AA kit if you can swing it. But at least some form of MOSFET type no matter what.

Here's where I bought mine, just as an example. Wiring diagram is also there, it's very simple. Jack is a good person to deal with too.

Main page - Home Scroll down for the kits.

Wiring diagram - The easiest way to hook up a Mosfet Regulator

This MOSFET is slightly larger than stock, so relocating is a must, mine is under the left side cover using a simple homemade bracket.

PS - I also swear by a dash mounted voltmeter to monitor. Mine is LED, but there are lots of options for styles and mounting that aren't real expensive. LED, digital, analog. There are also some with USB charging ports built-in.

I also second the FH020AA or equiv.

You can get them cheap off eBay. Search FZ-09 regulator used, they used the FH020AA. Find one for $40, buy $25 worth of connectors and $5 on a fuse.. done!
