I just installed a new stator and went to take the bike out for a test ride, an it will not allow me to fully release th clutch without it stalling out. It sometimes backfires. If I engage the clutch it runs perfect. I was having this issue intermittently before I took the bike apart. I was thinking maybe the stand switch might be faulty. Any ideas??

I can accelerate just fine with the clutch half depressed, but if I release all the way, the rpms get very low and it dies.

Just tried taking it out again, and after releasing the clutch slowly a few times, it went into first just fine and now is running and switching into all gears perfectly. The problem seems to be intermittent.

Is jb junction box? If so, the connections all seem fine, nothing loose or burned up.

It then was stalling out completely and I pulled on the side stand switch and then it ran just fine. Maybe my side stand switch is bad??

They tend to stick, so that could be it.
