In the interest of getting a smaller bike thats easier for me to manhandle at parking lot speeds and when having to manually push around in tight spots, I sold my 2002 Vulcan 750 yesterday. So my planned ride is off. However, I live in Birch Bay, The very NW corner of washington State and am always open to rides with others, so if any of y"all are from the NW quadrant of the state and are looking to share a ride in the area give me an E @ [email protected] I looked at a Honda Shadow 500, (I know,....Boo, hiss) and will probably finish the deal today. I want to thank each and everyone of Y'all for the help I received while a member, you are a great bunch for putting up with the "Old Geezy Rider"

May the wind be at your back.
And the sun be on your shoulder.
Don't you ever quit that Cruzin.
Even when you get much older!!!
Adios, Y'all

I was/had been looking for a smaller bike when I bought my 750. The money was right. I just wanted a 'county' motorcycle.

Say it isn't so.

Geezyrider, I sold a Honda 500 to buy my vn750. It was a good bike but quite a bit smaller than the 750. I'm glad you are still riding and if I was closer I would surely ride with you.
I liked you being on board because then there were two older members than me. Good luck and let's see some pictures of your next bike.

Thanks for all the nice words. I clued the new owner of my Vulc and made sure he knew about the ACCT to MCCT Mod and about the TOC conversion. And also the URL for the forum. As to the 500 Shadow it ran like a raped ape and I immediately fell in love with the light weight. Also was nicely surprised to find out that it has a 5th gear. Should finalize the deal today. And yeah, I will be sure to post a photo of it.

X2 on the good bike.
I have one in the back of my garage awaiting a rebuild, it was my first non junkyard piece together bike. I rode it up and down the eastern seaboard while I was in the Marines.

I stand ncorrected, it does have 6 speeds. Which is pretty jazzy considering that theVT600 only has 4 speeds. The 750 Vulcan I had was a Limo compared to the VT 500 thats more like flying by the seat of the pants. Don't know yet if the seat will be comfortable on the longer rides.
