Had to replace to regulator and changed the battery checked stator wires at .200 ohms and it was a1 a2 a3 was about .5-.6 and didn't ground to the case. I check battery test and it was 13.6 at idle & 14.7 and 3k so I thought I was ok, so I took it out rode it a hour and took it to the gas station to get gas and as soon as I got it home tried to start it to put it up and the battery was dead charged it tested and 12.4 at idle and 13.2 at 3k but it goes down when lights and signals, so I'm guessing there's a drain but I got it hot again and it's still. .5 on all stator wires but it grounds on all 3 stator leads. And it took the battery from 12.7 to 12.4 in about 4miles time to warm it. Also at a running ac test it barely was reaching 20 but it was a difficult by myself so it might not be completely accurate. So I need to know a few questions 1 can I still ride short trips?. 2 Is the stator shot? And last is a multiple? How much and where can I pick up a good t7 mod kit or can any tell me the measurements to make my own, being that there is a slight chance I can get my uncle to make one at his job. But if need be I want to ride and I'll pay to get. One so I can get it fixed sooner. Hope I didn't leave out anything important. I'll be check in soon it's hard not having my baby in good health

"grounds on all 3 stator leads"

Stator is shot.

You can do 5 minute trips or so if you charged it in-between. You'll probably end up stranded at least once. ;)

But, first he said A1 A2 and A3 .5 ohms and NOT grounded to frame. And 13.6V at idle. Then after battery died and tried to charge, was 13.2 at 3K. Still charging, but shot battery drawing high load from regulator, and not charging. 13.2V is still getting something from stator. I'd try a new battery first, or disconnect battery from system and see what voltage is at output of regulator?

Might not be enough AC volts from the stator.

running ac test it barely was reaching 20
At idle or at what rpm?

From the stator test sticky post:

run the engine up to around 3K RPM's and check between any and all combinations of the three leads from the stator, you should have between 40 to 70 VAC .Is the voltage up to snuff ?
