So I've identified a small oil leak coming out of the chrome L-bend pipe on the right side of the engine case. See the picture below (not my engine, just found the picture to use as reference). The oil seems to just be bubbling up out of here a little bit at a time. Has anyone had a leak here before, and how should I address it? I'd rather not pull the controls and the whole right side of the engine case off if I can avoid it, but I'd like to fix it right. I assume it's just an O-ring or something in there that needs to be replaced?

Also, what's that particular tube for? I assume some sort of return pipe to dump oil from the bottom of the engine back into the case. Anyone got some insight for me? Thanks!

thats a coolant pipe, not oil.

to replace the orings, you need to pull right side (clutch cover) off. there are 3 orings I believe, 2 on top, one bottom, but there may be 2 on both ends.

you will need to drain oil and coolant to do the job. be very careful reassembling, as its easy to cut the orings, or get them improperly positioned.
