I was debating about a sissy bar bag and saddle bags. Flite Control (hey man thanks for the suggestion!) suggested I check out the JAFRUM website for the SB1 Sissy Bar Bag. It's only $49 plus shipping. Just got it yesterday and I think it's awesome and a helluva bargain. Here are the details:

Sissy Bar Bags - Leather Motorcycle Sissy Bar Bag SB1.

Premium Leather Motorcycle Sissy Bar Bag. This is for the whole set of 2 bags and a Bonus rain cover !!

Made of top quality Premium Cowhide leather, this two part bag is built to last, with reinforced stitching, heavy-duty nylon straps, and heavy-duty zippers.

If you need a cheaper one please buy our SB1PU which is made from man made materials. We also have one made using naked cowhide leather called SB1Naked.

This sissy bar bag bag can be expanded for more room !!

This will fit on any type of bike due to the many straps with Q-release provided.

Two additional straps provided will allow the bag to be converted into a backpack or rucksack when off the bike.

This big roomy sissy bar travel bag will carry everything you would want to take with you on a long or short ride.

The mini-duffle is 15" X 9" X 9" and the big bag is 16"wide, 21" tall, 6" deep (12" deep when expanded!), It has 4 pockets on the sides, 2 each on each side of the bag, with zipper closures.

Sissy Bar Bag Features:

How to install this bag ?

This bag has a universal fit. It will fit any motorcycle with a sissy bar on it.

When you get it on, try to get some shots of how you strap it to the bike. Haven't ordered mine yet; been waiting for a guinea pig! :p

I got one in July. It was the SB1PU man-made materials version. Didn't have my Vulcan, but used it on another bike. This thing is huge inside. Packed all my stuff for a week's trip and still had room. Good quality and makes a great backrest on a long trip. :carryflag

Mine straps good horizontally but not so sure about vertically. maybe with stuff in it, it stays down on the luggage rack better.
