Have an idea. I’m missin my fuel sending unit So to get by for now I was gonna cut out a piece of thin metal as a cap and then make a gasket. Thought about using the sheet gasket to make one. Cork mabey? Any suggestions on the gasket material. “Preferably something I can get for the local parts store. I’m open to suggestions on the whole project. :smiley_th

I would avoid cork and go for the sheets of rubberized gasket material from the parts stores. Cork has grain making it harder to cut good clean edges.
Maybe someone on here has a dead sender you could scavenge the base plate from?
