Newbie here in Texas. I too am in search of a pristine 750. Thought I found one but it seems the H exhaust pipe has been removed, is this a bad thing or just letting it breathe?

Removing the "goats belly" is common,it helps reduce the heat around the R/R which is mounted above it and give the exhaust a throatier sound.

I don't think there's any issues with removing the goat's belly. Some have reported a loss in power and some say that they can't tell one way or the other. It does, however remove the heat source that is detrimental to the life of the regulator/rectifier (which is located on the bottom side of the battery box right above the oven, I mean goat's belly).

So if anything if the r/r hasn't been relocated it's a good thing in my book.

Welcome to the boards, what part of Texas are you in, there's a couple of other's on the boards from the Lone Star State too.
