Hi guys, I have just been looking at maybe getting hold of a 700/750 engine so that I can have one in my bike and one striped and rebuilt ready,

I live in the UK and I just cannot seem to find another 700/750cc to replace my 700cc, I have seen a couple of 800cc on ebay and I was wandering if any of you guys know if the 800 or even a 900cc will fit in an '86 700 or is the transmission different?

Yeah its a question a lot of people ask. Its not like most of the older British bikes were, where you could stick a triumph motor in a Norton frame and call it a day. Don't get me wrong, you could make it fit, but for how much it'd cost you would be better off buying an 800 or a 900.

that's the only regret I have about buying the bike a couple of years ago, getting hold of the parts is not easy, Its not helped by the fact that the bike is a USA import,
Luv the bike though and I cant wait to get it fixed and ride out on it
