had a thought and wanted to run it by you guys for some pointers and opinions
so ive noticed most bobber builds people cut the frame after the shock mount on the rear of the bike. my thought is my girlfriend would like to ride with me occasionally so if i were to make my own passenger seat pad on the back portion everyone cuts...then proceed to cut the frame off and weld in bars slightly smaller diameter and drill bolting holes through the frame below the factory shock gussets. i could potentially slide the passenger seat in and out when she wants to ride and bolt it in and remove during the week or whenever for a solo bobber.
the fender is cut and will be mounted low enough over the tire to clear the seat...an other potential obstacles? and is the frame hollow all the way through?
