So I was looking through the "Verses" at the post on the hunt for the red turn signal lenses, and the conses at that time it was written was that there were no red lenses available, but there were some clear ones found that did the job.

It seems like the posted links on the page are out of date and that particular item is no longer available.

however, searing through the page, it seems like they are now offering red lenses hat will fit on the 750.

http://www.customdynamics.com/Kawasaki_motorcycle_clear_tail_light_lens.htm

Anyone want to correct me if I'm wrong? The item info seems to indicate that they will fit.

I didn't see where they indicated they would fit a 750. Other Vulcans, but not the 750.

I converted my rear blinkers to use dual filament bulbs for running lights as well as blinkers, and those are the ones I got.
They work fine!
Sweet, thanks!
what did you do to wire the 3rd wire in? tap straight into the tail light? or did you do something more elaborate?

I acquired broken front stalks from other members of the forum and used the sockets from them. I swapped out the innards on my stock rear stalks to make them work as running lights and blinkers.

I have photos in my profile album.

I have seen several bikes running around with orange turn signal/running lights on the rear. I am going to try and find a pair of front signal lights so I can mount them on the rear and run them like that.

I was under the impression that it was less then legal to have anything but red lights facing backwards and be constantly on. hence the whole search for red lenses. But essentially, that was my plan. get a set of fronts, mount them to the rear, and replace the lenses.

In my state, it is very illegal to use amber lights in the rear for anything but turn signals and hazard flashers. Using them as running lights will get you a ticket real quick. I have clear lenses with amber bulbs on my Honda Rebel, clear lenses could be used as running lights if you had RED bulbs. Harleys seem to be the only bikes I've seen red rear turn signal/running lights on. They could also be wired up as extra brake lights.

As far as the information being outdated, the Vulcan 750 is outdated (nothing wrong with that), and virtually nobody is making aftermarket parts for it anymore. Many things that used to be available, including most of the Kawasaki accessories, are no longer available. There is very little new information on the VN750, it's been the same bike for 22 years. I was thrilled to be able to get the TOC manual cam chain tensioners, they have drastically increased the life of my engine. I suggest getting some before they quit making them.

here in NJ it is illegal to have any rear facing lights that are amber/yellow unless used as directionals only.

I also found that the LED bulbs being sold will fit the VN750 sockets with a little adjustment to the stalks. If you need any help just ask.

I replaced my "limp wrist" sigs with 4 Yammy lights from a junkyard...$20 for 4. All chrome, amber lenses (larger than Kawi), and shorter stems. I like em.
Red signals in front are illegal far as I know, because you look like Joe Law with yer 4ways on. Blue and green turns also illegal (reserved for fire and amb).
I am however an outlaw, and have naturally placed a traditional "blue dot" in the center of my brake lens :D...(also illegal, usually, except for historics, which my VN700 just became in NY).
