I just wanted to say that,of the bikes I have owned,my 85 VN700 is alot "snottier" than I expected,compared to my 1st bike which was an 82 Iron head sportster,and the second one being a 2001 Vstar 650..I definately like the Vulcan hands down over the other 2.

I have had alot of different bike over the years from the 70's to current standard to sport cruiser but I just picked up this abandoned 85 vn700 and it keeps me interrested more than most have.

The vn750 is the "quickest" cruiser (in a 1/4 mile drag race) that Ma Kaw makes, except for the Meanstreak, which has twice the displacement. Granted this info is a bit dated, as it doesn`t include the vn900 or the 1600. The VN750 is not necessarily the fastest Kaw cruiser as is said below in the quote.

Calculating the gear ratios says the top speed potential for the vn750 is ~123 mph at the redline of 8500 rpm.

^ Yeah, I gotcha on that one: it's synomous with "ballsier" only more quick than all out speed. The VN750's have snot.
