I know it’s a long shot, but does anyone know of a chrome or stainless radiator cover available? Going down memory lane on the forum, it looks like someone designed one at some point.

I found a few online a couple months ago that will work with just minor modification. Do you have the original cover? If so, you could always chrome it yourself.
I do have the original, and I considered painting it. I kind of just wanted a metal one honestly. Were you looking at larger Vulcan models to modify? Also, let’s ride sometime. I live in VA, but my brother is in Boone, so we ride WNC a bit.

Yeah! I used to live in Richmond, a couple blocks off of Broad, and maybe two miles or less from the Raceway. (I loved it there and I want to move back.) Then I moved to Chester. You know that Honda motorcycle dealership in Chesterfield? I worked as a salesman there. Won my first motorcycle from the same dealership ('05 Shadow) and less than 6 months later a woman ran a red light right in front me. I was headed from Chester to Richmond, and was close to Cary street when it happened.
I'm not too far from Boone, so we'll definitely have to get together and ride.
Back when I looked at chrome radiator covers, I had a few ideas. One, I was going to remove the "grille" part from the existing cover, order a chrome cover and cut out the grille part from that and fit the two together, if you follow me?
But after looking at a few other chrome radiator covers, I figured out that the only major difference is where the drain plug hole is, and the mounting screws. I was going to just use the existing screws and add some metal brackets to attach the new cover to.
I forget what the measurements were, but since it's just a cosmetic addition, it should be relatively easy to mod. Full disclosure though: None of the the "chrome" radiator covers I found were actually metal. They're just chrome-plated plastic like the air box covers are.
But if you can find a true metal chrome cover, it still shouldn't be all that difficult to make some kind of adapter so you can attach it.

I saw that too, today. Too bad, because I'd also like to have a chrome metal one myself. I wonder if there would be enough airflow if I made something like this for the radiator:

I'd guess probably not , that's mostly solid.
Yeah, I am just going to keep my eyes peeled for a bit. If I can’t find one, I will just buy and modify something else. You’re not too far from me either. I actually grew up in WV. Maybe sometime we can ride 219.

You bet! I had the same problem you've run into, couldn't find an actual chrome radiator cover. I couldn't even find any information about anyone who actually makes them.
I do know there's several companies out there that will "chrome" just about anything plastic that you want. I'll see if I can find out what that will cost.
I know people who have had success with Alsa easy chrome. It is a DIY option, but it’s on the pricey side for a garage paint project.

You know, I've actually polished steel and aluminum to a chrome-like finish. Takes time, but it's possible. Probably could just make my own cover, really.
