My bike had Vance and Hines pipes when I bought it and I like loud pipes. I enjoy the rumble but I go to work at 3 am now and I dont want to be THAT guy and wake the neighborhood at that time in the mornin, and the drone at highway speed is pretty annoying on long runs, is there anything I can do without having to buy a whole new exhaust system??

I have the v&h pipes and I too go to work super early (like 2:30). I rode in a few times and then asked my neighbors if I disturbed them. They said they didn't even know I was riding to work. Of course I try to lug it around >2.5k in the neighborhood until I get to the busy road where all the traffic is.

I guess my suggestion is to keep it low till you hit a heavy traffic area. Other than that I don't really see any other way to silence them. The highway drone is what it is and believe you me I would love to change it.

I am actually very curious to hear the 750 with these pipes. I was thinking about buying them myself. However, if the carbs have to be rejetted with them then i'd rather not do it, and save my money. haha The stock pipes look great, but above 55 mph i can only hear wind, and id rather hear more bike!

Yes there is. Dariv has V+H Cruzers and he bought baffles that go inside to quiet them down. It cuts the loudness down by about 50%. If he doesn't see this post I'll try to get the info on the baffles.

Found these,they look the same

Interesting. I put V&H Cruzers on my '02, but since I ride mostly on the highway at 5000 rpm and over, the racket became unbearable. I bit the bullet, and went back to stock. Sold the new V&H pipes for half what I paid for them, and on top of that, I had to buy 4 new graphite gaskets to put the goats belly back on. But at least I like to ride the bike again now. It was a stupid mistake, and it cost me a fortune. It was also the first time I have ever put an aftermarket exhaust on a bike, and will be the last.

Yes, you do have to rejet for the Cruzers, or the engine will run too lean. That doesn't mean whoever installed them did. I would check the plugs and see what color they are. I went up one size on the main and pilot jets. Something else I had to change back when I went back to stock. Stock is the way to go with the Vulcan 750. It is an overengineered bike that does not tolerate modifications well.
