Now that we are in those "Can't ride as much as we want to" months I am busy catching up on some things.
One of the items on my list was repairing the zipper on my husband's favorite pair of chaps, The zipper was still good, just the slider was broken. The tab had come off and the zipper didn't "lock" So he could wear the chaps but the zipper would slide down and pretty soon he'd have one side flappin in the wind..

I came across a zipper repair kit at a fraction of the cost of a new zipper.
The woman I corresponded with made sure I got exactly the right type of slider for the chaps (a #10 open zipper slider with autolock)
So.. I thought there might be others that also needed to do some repairs to their leathers and decided to pass along the info.
Hey guys, this is a no-sew replacement, it involves using tools like needlenose pliers!

She carries a wide variety of zipper repair stuff so have a look if you need something..

Here's a suggestion if you're unsure of what type/size zipper ya have....
Just go to a local fabric store. They've usually got tons of all size zippers to compare yours to.
They've got similar repair kits also, but after checking out this site (thanks Dianna :smiley_th ) the fabric stores are alot more.
