Someone has to start it!

Here is what we have agreed. If you need a Gremlin bell for your bike, post here. PM the previous poster. That person will send you their mailing address and you buy and send them a bell. Then the next person who signs on does the same. We'll do that on and on until it grinds to a halt and everyone who needs one has one and I'll send that person a bell.

So the next poster, you have to send me a bell. PM me for my address. Then the next poster does the same for you. On and on.

You can also put requests, etc. FYI I am agnostic so nothing with angels or anything on mine, please. Other than that, I am easy to please!!

Oh, and FYI this method will really work only if we people who need bells post. You have to post here so someone knows to send you one. If someone who doesn't need a bell themselves sends me one that will kinda mess up the system as the next person who posts that DOES need one themselves will send me one as well.

So to clarify, you need to post here to participate and it will work best if you need a bell yourself. I guess people who might just want a new one or something can play along just like the others, but you have to post to play!

Make sense?

I'm jumping in line. I'm going looking for one for an old friend from high school that just got a new scoot and is in need of one. I'll send a PM in a minute.

They had something similar to this over on a Honda Aero 750 website last summer. There was a bell supplier that they had a link to, and he shipped direct to the recipient. I don`t remember all the particulars, but I think there was a number of different bells to choose from. Does anyone here have a link to a bell supplier?

That was a Question I was wondering......Does it have to be one of the pewter Bells or can it be any type of bell?

Brass, chrome. copper. etc.

I've seen little brass ones like that at the .98/.99/1.00 stores.

And a Bell is a Bell.

I got dragonrider covered. Send me your info.

My interests are pirates, skulls, spiders, dragons.

I've been the bell fairy over on the VN750 yahoo group for several years.
I get my bells (Chrome and brass) from http://gremlinbells.com/
Several members have contributed to the bell fund to cover the cost and shipping and they are sent out as requested. (You know the power doubles if it is given to you rather then buying one.
The chain idea here works well too!

Well I hate to rain on your Parade but.....

The Bell you receive won't be a Gift, so it won't have double the Power.

I've been thinking about this and A Gift is something You receive unexpectedly.

What Your doing here is Basically putting in an order for one.
Like going to a store and ordering one.
What you want on it, what you don't.

Sorry.........

Here's my read. A says he would like a (certain) bell. B gives him one (which may or may not be what A requested) but nonetheless, A isn't sure when it will come. B makes his bell wishes known, and C takes care of him, etc.. Sounds like a gift to me!

No, it's more like you walk into a shop, See the Bells and say I want that one.
The shop owner hands it to you and says no charge.

He gave it to you but it's not really a gift because you came in to get it.

#25 ·
It was only a suggestion in case the giver can not decide what to get. The giver can do and give whatever they want and it is still a gift since I did not pay for it and it was given to me. Don't make more out of it that what it is!!
A suggestion!!!!

If you don't buy it for yourself it's a gift. End of story.

You can go to a restaurant, order whatever you want, eat and enjoy it, and when the check comes someone says "my treat" and pays for it and guess what, it's a treat- a gift. Even if you picked it all out for yourself and fully expected to pay for it.

Doesn't matter if you specify what you want or not. Personally I gave only the vaguest of ideas of what I would like because I want to be surprised. But whatever. If someone else pays, it's a gift.

The chi comes from someone ELSE doing the footwork, ie caring about you. If you ask me ours should be TRIPLE luck because they are coming from strangers. We don't have to care about each other or do anything, yet we choose to. Sounds like good karma by the buckets to me.

WOW! I didn't know we had so many Thin Skinned people here. :)

I'm just going by what I read about how the Bells work.

My opinion.......Say I'm doing business with you and I got your address to ship you parts or a payment.
Now I also wrap up a Bell and sent it to you........That's makes it a gift.

But you tell me that when I send you the package/payment to also send you a bell w/ skulls or flames
on it...........You can't honestly tell me that it would still be a gift.

Just remember that Karma doesn't like ones trying to find loopholes around it.
Instead of Double Protection you might wind up with Double Bad Luck.

Might want to think twice before you install that bell.....................

That's it I'm Done...................I have no more to say.

Screw karma.

Would you please post a picture...:)...
Have a good one...Old Dog...

I would say if the previous owner made you aware of it and said it was a gift then it's ok. If they did not mention it at all maybe you could remove it and give it as a gift to someone who does not have one yet?

#34 ·
Ok. So. Maybe I agree with we shouldn't be putting what we "like". As for the gift part. All we're doing here is stating that we do not have a bell yet. The person that is getting us the bell isn't sending it because "We" want one. They are sending it in reguard that we do not already have one and they are sending us a guardian in kindness and friendship.

Before this thread got side tracked, I believe thom1 was the last person to indicate they did not have a bell. If they will send their information to me it will be my pleasure to send them a Gremlin bell as a gift. If anyone cares I am a good southern boy.

Way to get us back on track here, I like where your heads at. Send me your info and maybe a suggestion (if you're not afraid of getting shot in your sleep) and I'll send you one.

I would like the one with the flames on it, that was pretty cool...

Well maybe I have one more thing to say......

We are our own individuals different from one another and I Apologize for any Feathers I Ruffled.

The way it could of been done was have a keeper of the list.

Say Krebsne was the keeper. Everybody that wanted a bell would send him a PM with your
address & your forum name. After a week he would put a list of the names up.

Now I pick a name (Joebob) and I PM Krebsne with the name and he either tells me the name has already
been picked or gives me the address.

Now I send the bell to (Joebob). When he gets the bell he PMs Krebsne and his name is taken off the list
next time it's put up. Probably once a week.

Now the only one who knows you'll be getting or giving a bell is krebsne.

As for Krebsne, He would of had to put his address on the 1st list that he put up.

After the 1st list If you put your name on the list you have to take a name (More than 1 if you like)

New names would go on the bottom of the list with the older names at the top.
