Met up with Bill aka weh44att for a ride and exchange bike info. He was a big help for mods I plan on doing.

We left Sat. 5/26 about noon. Left Petaluma and headed west through some beautiful countryside...lots of green hills and winding roads. We made it out to Hwy. 1 and went north to almost Jenner, then inland on River Road (next to the Russian River). We had a very nice ride even though it was a little on the cool side, windy (40 mph) and I had to duck once to keep from colliding with a buzzard!

Hopefully the next ride we can get a few more people. I did post on the Regional California page but only got a couple of responses.

Ride safe :smiley_th (read - watch out for all the idiots out there)

I did that same roads once when I rented a Honda 750 one year on vacation.
Went from San Fran across the Glden gate and on to PCH1 and up to the Russian river.
Did you stop at bodaga Bay and go to the end, What a view.
Great ride.

ccspinner,
I live on River Road near Guerneville so I go to Bodega Bay quite often. I also paraglide at Goat Rock State Beach.......some pretty nice views. The riding in the area is hard to beat. I'm originally from Iowa and was not real fond of "flat horizons"...... ;o)
