I know how that goes. Have you tried a pain clinic? When I went to the VA they asked me what type of opioid I wanted for my shoulders, I am glad I told them Ibueprofen 800s, because 5 years later, they are still giving me two 180 tab bottles a month. I just give them away. They do that with opioids as well, except they cut you off randomly. Nasty nasty stuff. I didn't even like taking them after my surgeries (but I did). If you can get by without them, please do. You're obviously a smart man, but you don't even notice getting hooked. After the first week of mine, I was increasing the dose to get the same pain reduction. That's when I stopped and grunted through it. If you need them, take them, but it's super easy to become dependent. The pain clinics help with other ways to mitigate the pain while you're waiting for answers. Just a thought.

We no longer have any clinics close by, docs got greedy and ended up tangling with the law, so closed down. Others just plain retired and GTFO.

Been hooked three times, and cold turkied three times. Don't want to be hooked again, but I do need some help. Only choice I have is to get checked into a hospital for pain control. Then for how long and what's the cost?

Been trying to avoid the surgeons pushed at me by the ER, because I've already dealt with them and don't trust them behind my back with a scalpel.

Guess I'm just screwin' the pooch. Or I'm the pooch getting screwed?

Sooo, the report said......

Herniated disc with pinched nerve at L4-L5 with another one popping out at L3-L4.

One Screamin case of sciatica I guess, world record it feels like.
I swear I'm ready to get a scalpel and a mirror, and .... send myself a bill.

Hey Spockster - sorry to hear you’re dealing with all this crap. Good you found out what’s going on. Is that responsible for all the pain? Did they give you options of what should be done now?

On the stone - pretty damn big. I would think they will break that up and take care of it.

I guess, all I have that's new is a CT scan, but that's what the report said. MRI 20 years ago said the same, but the pain has never been this bad, and this all began 40 years ago.

No options really, have a prescription for physical therapy, pfft, can't even stand up. That's like that woman that said I needed yoga, rawrrr haha.

Big city surgeon told me last week, there's no surgery to fix this. He lied of course. He should alert Mayo to stop telling everyone about the surgery.

I can't believe this is even happening.

Pretty sure the big stone has been dropping all the smaller ones I've birthed for several years. Got a referral for a doc on that, just too messed up to even think about making another appointment. Too sick to see a doctor.

That idiot in Columbus expects me to come back July 22nd. Haha, I'ma send him a Dear John letter.

Might head north next time, Pittsburgh or Morgantown. Probably have to take a waaaambulance next trip.

Reading back through this thread to see if I lost it yet. Just have to say, thanks again to everyone!

Hey I got my weekly shower this morning. So that's what's new, got rid of that old car smell. phew!

Neighbor came over yesterday and mowed my grass again. Moved my truck out of the way. This morning it was stuck in the mud. I finally said I screw this and floored it. Mud flying everywhere, left my walker sitting there and covered it with mud, since I had to do a donut to get moving, or slide into the fence and over the hill. Had to sit there and wait for someone to bring the walker to me.

Oh my car died at the store, long story but bought a new battery, and now it needs a starter before it goes anywhere again.

Playing the lottery Wednesday, my luck has to change. Wednesday will be four weeks since the leg fired up, was already down the month before that.

Thanks fer puttin up with me folks!

Was about to ask if you were still riding the wing. Motor swap eh, did you roast the original?

Last riding buddy left is frettin about me being down for another season. They cancelled the Vet's Memorial gathering, but did a ride tour and we missed it. Roger I spoke of earlier, these two are brothers. So J is pretty sad, he's lost all his brothers, mother, and a brother-in-law to cancer over the past ten years.

Was hoping to ride by August, don't think so now. My shifter foot is fubar, forget the leg. When it's over I can put a jockey shifter on Christine.
