No riding/motorcycle experience for my husband or myself.
Fairly mechanically inclined.
Hobbies: Hunting, fishing, mechanics, camping, airsoft, racing go karts.

Recently purchased a 2000 vn750 from someone who bought a storage unit. Working on getting it legal. Going to be a starter/learning bike. Replaced the ignition already. Hoping to learn from fellow owners.

Good luck, riding is fun, but also ride on alert too and that every, vehicle is suspect to strange behaviour! Three important words,
" Keep your distance" this gives you time to think, react and manoeuvre.

I always suggest new riders take a basic rider training course like that provided by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Best way to learn the fundamentals and keep you safe on the road. Professionally trained riders have fewer crashes than those self/friend/family taught.
