I just put on a new set of Pirelli MT66's. They are really nice. Bike handles and corners much better than the Bridgestone I had on. They are less costly than the Metzlers that lots of people here reccomend, but will they last? Reviews say you should get over 10,000 miles on the MT66. We'll see. I bought then from Cycle Gear. They had the best prices for online tires.

What size did ya get? Stock or oversized? How were they mounted...by you or a shop? Were your splines lubed at the same time? Or maybe you had them done previously.

I know, I know...20 freakin' questions. Sorry, I'm just curious.

I went with the stock sizes. I like the way they look and I think the back tire is plenty big enough for me. I mounted them myself with the help from an uncle who use to own a motorcycle shop. He still had a balancee, tire irons, and the knowledge, which is priceless. I lubed the splines when I did this too. They looked good and were well lubed already but I figured since the wheel is off , time to lube the spline again.
