Can't beat that deal. I paid $1000 for mine in the dead of winter. It wouldn't take long for repair bills to outpace the cost of the bike.I ended up with this bike because one of my friends told one of their friends I worked on motorcycles in my spare time and I might be willing to work on it. He claimed the stator was bad and needed to be replaced. I told him what it would cost to do that job. Long story short it was going to cost him more than the bike was worth to fix it so I offered him $200 and he said ok. I lowballed him because I really didn't need another project bike and I thought he'd say no. I was wrong. Now that I have it at home and have checked it out it's not the stator but a hack wiring job that was draining the battery.
