i am a new rider for the most part. It has been 19 years since i last rode. I recently purchased a 1997 vulcan 750. Quit happy. This is probably a starter bike for me. It could use some fixing up.

My first question is where can i find an aftermarket seat that will fit the bike that doesn't have the sissy bar. I want just a single or just one with the passenger part but without a backrest?

Welcome to the forum. What you're looking for doesn't exist as an off the shelf item. The stock seat can be modified (shortened) and several folks have bought seats from Harleys and other Vulcans and modded them to fit. You should be able to find those posts by doing a search here.
