I'm reattaching my wiring harness, and I need reference pictures to know how to route it. Ideally, I need to see how it runs along the left side frame under the tank, and more importantly, how it's routed around the neck (after the cluster of plugs by the front coil).

Depending on how soon i can develop an LED rear turn signal, i should be pulling my tank off sometime in the next few days. I'd be more than happy to photo that harness routing and plan on taking mine out.

By the way... one thing i intend on improving is routing the right handle bar cables ( start switch, engine kill, brake sensor ) around the FRONT of the steering column then down to the left since they head there anyways and get pinched ( somehow ) with a full right turn that kills my bike. But for now, the wiring is routed stock AFIK.

Taking my tank off soon, new tank and petcock rebuild. I'll check my old pics.

Not a lot of help, the bulk of the harness comes back along side the left frame tube and has the wide zip strip around the frame tube. That's the coolant line on the right.

It's TANK SEASON!

( sounds like a first person shooter game... mount your turret across the handle bars like this . . . 5 multi-player scenarios . . . )

And hey, while only partially off the topic. . . In YOUR OPINION . . .

What would a nice chromed 3/4" pipe running from the neck back under the frame at the side panel along the left side look like under the tank/frame to run the wiring through?

You'll only see it when the tank is removed. But you'll probably never fish all the plugs through pipe that size.

even better... chrome is spensive. :)

I've seen that new ( new to me ) spring wrapped automotive casing in the stores... pretty cheap... ever used it or heard anything bad about it? My harness is tape-wrapped.

Going to be using a custom plug and make a dash junction box for the front that mounts behind the horns. So, one plug in, and one plug out sort of thing... i'm going to turn the rear harness for the lamps back there into one plug too.

LOL! Hey you think i can repair that with JB weld? The fit is pretty close maybe a millimeter at the worst gap on one side. Been riding it that way for awhile... who knows... maybe that's the chain sound One1 was hearing....

i got JB weld on this one now curing. But i would love to ride down there as a test run after i get all the work done on her. Need to pull that engine out. :/ probably a bearing... it was small whatever it was.

It basically shredded my entire planning schedule.
