We are restoring a 1985 Vulcan 750.
We need to know where the fuel lines go.
In particular there are Two lines that come off the Black, Plastic "T" bar and one of our lines is missing. We also have a fuel like from somewhere (Likely that line). Someone said it was just a vaccume line but we really need
a Good Diagram. If someone that has a Vulcan 750 or better yet a 1985 we would appriciate knowing where the fuel lines go to. We do have the clymer's manual but it does not show this line.

See my response to your other post - you can also check the "Carbs and Fuel" section of the Forum and find "Carb photos parts labeled" or whatever I entitled that thread. The T is the point from which the vent lines hook up from each carb, and then the last line off the T should take a vent line out to the RH airbox. Cut this last line at a 45-degree angle to keep it from bottoming out in the airbox.

Here are a couple of pics of the left side carb. One is viewed from the left side of the bike, and the other from the right side. The carbs are the same on both sides. Hope this helps.

Chris,

These pic's are really helpful.. Can you get one as to where the
Choke Cable goes? The Choke was pulled off when the Carb came out
but did not get back in place.

Fule lines and Choke cable front brakes

All,

I just fixed a wire problem that caused the bike to die. Right before that happended I test drove it and that's when the Fuel leaked all over and we also have a Radiator leak. If anyone can get a a picture or diagram where the three fuel lies go (From the Petcock) to the Carb.. That would so be helpful. We don't think our reserve line is in the right place if at all hooked up.
Should it not go back into the Tank? The link that comes out of the "T" at the bottom of the Petcock goes straight down onto the Carb nibble. I marked that one from before removing the Carb. In fact, I marked all the lines but the other two just rubbed off. Also, before pulling the Carb, I unhooked the
Choke cable but now having the carb back in it's tuff to see or find where that
Choke Barrel on the end of the cable hooks into. Also, someone said the new throttle cables are not on exactly right. Anyone have a pic of throttle cables as well. Resolving these should get us running except for bleeding the
front brakes. We got a new (Used) Master Cylinder but can't manually bleed the brakes. Can't bring pressure to the Master Cylinder and get the Banjo bolt installed air tight. We tried a Brake Bleeding kit but seem to need reverse bleeding. Is there anyone in the D.C. Virginia area that works on these bikes ?

Thanks
David and Andrew:baby:

guitar99,
There are several pictures in the manual, you can download the manuel from:
http://www.tocmanufacturing.com/File...nd Parts.pdf
This is a very big Adobe file, it contains a parts list for all years of the vn700 & 750. Save it to your hard disk so you don't have to download it every time you want to view things.

On page 2-8 shows the area at the end of the choke cable
On page 2-14 it shows another pic of the end of the choke cable
Page 2-18 shows the routing of the hoses of the carbs
Page 2-25 shows pic of fuel petcock
Let us know how we can help

Choke cable runs down the left side of the bike then through the middle of the carb there is a metal bracket which is a triangle holder. It holds the end of the cable housing.

CMESS,

I do need a picture or to know exactly where the hoses on the petcock
go. I pretty sure the one going straight is vaccume and goes to the close
Nipple on the carb. The two Gas lines ??? Which one where?

Also, there is a Black Plastic "T" that we are still trying to make sure
the Vaccume Hoses go to the right place... We have one that is missing.
