Here is what I have been doing for the last week or so

I have been making brackets for the Nomad bags and the Harley Batwing,I have everything mocked up and bolted down.Except for a dash I am going to build for the inside of the fairing to hold the tach and am/fm marine radio and some switches and a voltmeter going to try to mount a bracket for a Sirius radio unit as well as my phone for the GPS and MP3 features.

After I get the dash thing figured out,the fiberglass parts are getting a coat of shiny Black paint except for the saddlebag doors which I am going to leave Platinum Grey Metallic like they are.

I need to order a trunk for the back but that is no biggie ,it will be Black already and will mount to my luggage rack. Waiting for the cash flow to resume and a new set of tires and a complete service job on it and hopefully I'll be good to go for another season.

How am I doing so far?

In all probability it will be the end of Feb. before I am finished,I hope to squeeze in one day of riding in in Jan. and Feb.,just to keep the streak going. I have managed to get to ride every month for the last 24 mos. in a row, which is not easy to do in the Appalachians.if we have a mild winter here, like the last two,I may be able to stretch it to 36 months.

Look'n nice. What did you do with the other fairing?
Also, do you have a radio picked out? I'm not going to remount the marine radio I have.
If your interested, let me know. We could work something out. ;)

I am sure we could probably work out something if you aren't going with the Poly Planar.I could be convinced to use it :smiley_th

Is this what you have?

Yes, that's the Poly I have. Interested in a trade? Stereo for Fairing?
they're about equal in value but I'm sure my shipping would be cheaper! lol

Call me, we can chat about it. ;)

I also have the "panel mount adapter" which is a waterproof audio jack for plugging in anything with a headphone style audio plug. I used it to plug in my ipod.

For a few picture of my dash project with the radio control head mounted go to photobucket an look at the first 4 or 5 pics. You will have to look under denny606_photo and it will take you to my albums . I'd post a picture but my laptop is down and I don't know how to from this darned phone, grrrr! It beats no web access...barely but I have to get my laptop fixed or buy one.I would rather spend my coin on my bike.:smiley_th

Thanks,I still haven't figured it all out but then again I am an old geezer:smiley_th
It doesn't look like that now,I pulled the tank off and the fairing today.I got the tach in and have been pulling the wiring in for the radio and installed a six circuit fuse block for the extra gadgets. You know,it is nice to have dual stators and R/R's .oh I forgot you are becoming pretty good at changing stators. ;)

The lighting was tricky ,it's a cigar lighter.

This will probably be the last update before paint. We did a final fit of the fairing after completing the dash and I shot a little video with my phone.Hey Kanuck, I even Uploaded from my phone but am posting this from my trusty old Dell. The sound is a bit tinny with the phone's mic,but hey it's a phone.
