What kind of MPGs are you all getting?

posy your engine size and year, and maybe we can get kind of a database

i have an 85 700, and i get between 45 and 50mpg (i would imagine this might go up after i get my other cam chain tensioner installed, as i have already noticed a GREAT deal of difference in how it ran after just one was replaced)

86 750 I was riding 100 mile round trip to work on mostly highway and getting 52. transferred closer to home and only doing 30 round trip on country blacktop and a little city and getting 55. I guess those high rpm's on the highway was eating a little more!

45 - 50 depending on traffic and how much city driving. Before I put the windshield on I was getting 1 - 3 more MPG.

There was just a thread on this not long go - pretty extensive.

Well I'm a fat bastard :wow: and my saddle bags are loaded with tools for work but I still average around 45-50 on my 92 750. That whole fill up thing is so subjective. You can vary a 1/8 of a gallon of fuel per fillup so easily. I'll tend to fill it a little further to the top if I'm at the beginning of a ride but won't do that if I fill before going home.
