Just thought some of you might be interested. The first thing I did when I bought my bike was drain the oil; the bike was used. I found an abundance of conical shaped aluminum flake in the oil. Maybe 40 pieces or so about a mm or two wide and 3 or 4mm long. It's possible that during the original oil change that the original buyer did or had done didn't involve going into and cleaning the bottom of the case out. I'm not sure where they came from but that was a few 1000 miles back and I see a few now when I change the oil, maybe residual from before. I guess they may be casing flake from break-in or clutch pieces.
