I've been riding my bike to work (apx 30 miles each way) and am kind of bothered by the lack of range. I hit the reserve at about 120 miles, so I have to get gas every two days. Are there larger gas tanks that will fit on the bike?

None that just bolt on. We've seen some custom enlarged tanks done and even pony kegs mounted on the rear rack, but so far nobody has found a bolt on replacement.

At 120 miles, I hit reserve and start looking for a gas pump.

The long distance guys add fuel cells and run lines to their tank with valves and such. I have to agree that refilling the fuel tank does wear on you after a while. There are other bikes with much better fuel range, and that might be something to think about. . . .

Awhile back we had a gal that put an auxiliary tank on the back of her bike. Apparently during a ride the hose got lose and her bike caught fire....
No one hurt, and luckily minimal damage to the bike.

Your better off getting a couple of fuel cell bottles from a camping store and taking them with you....but that be more of a hassle than just pulling into a gas station.
If you use the bike daily to commute you just have to deal with filling it often, or as suggested, find a bike that will travel farther on a tank. ;)

I hate to say it but I think this 650 is faster than the fastest 1200 sporty in the world. Kawa makes some speedy engines.

@Goofyfoot2001 - Your 650 is faster than your 1200 Sporty? Better update your signature.

For sure my Kawasaki 600 Eliminator is faster than my 1200 Sporty and faster than the 750 Vulcan too. After I put the 5.8 gallon tank on it it easily goes 225 miles before hitting the reserve. Admittedly that took some fabrication and seat modification to make it fit.
@T-Bone - Years ago I picked up a used good condition Vulcan 900 Classic LT tank (5.3 gallons) with the intention of making it fit my VN750. Never got around to it though. It's still sitting in the box it shipped in. It is a few inches longer than the stock VN750 tank. Food for thought.
