Hey so in the other thread you linked to your photo stream via your sig.

I noticed this while trying to find your mods:

Did you make this? If so - some details would be AWESOME as this solves my problem of accommodating my lady & keeping myself comfy simultaneously which makes it priceless.

BTW from all the searches and reading I've done it is evident that you give a LOT to this forum. Just want to let you know it's appreciated on my end.

No, I did not make that. All the items I fabricated for the Vulcan are at the flicker site.. (rif)

The rack-rest pictured was on eBay several years back, but the seller, who I believed made it, wanted too much money. A few years back it appeared again. Someone posted the ad here, but I do not know if anyone here bought it, or if it even ended up getting sold.

So, keep an eye on eBay ...it may show up again.

Old Dog, Looks like you pack light LOL. I like the looks of your exhaust. I tried to zoom in on them but can't make out the name. What are they?
Thanks

Thanks. Well I guess I'm not too observant. Should have noticed it wasn't a Vulcan.

Well I felt like it was as close to a VN750 as I could get new in 09... So I'm glad you didn't notice the difference right off...lol...

Yeah, it is the 1200, and the pipes are slightly moded "Screaming Eagles" as is the a/c intake... Its now as strong as my 06 VN750 "Clyde", which I used that name as short for the strong Clydesdale horses...

That and my saddlebags (older & replaced) was about all I could hold over from Clyde... That has always been what I used for a backrest, used to use the hard ones till the soft insulated ones with the plastic box inside came out... Really though, they are very handy, you can carry your drinkin water, extra gloves, dew rags, chewin terbacky, a tool or two, a cap for when you remove your helmet to grab a bite to eat or whatever, quick & easy to get to without openin a saddlebag or tailbag...

ok for actual informati0on on the rack pictured.. it was made by Winglider (or however the company is spelled). The rack is commonly found used on 1979-83 Honda GL500/650's. There is a guy on my Honda CX forum that is fabricating them for sale.. but they aint cheap... you're looking at about 300 bones shipped to the US...
