i have the Slider kevlar jeans. i got them for $69.00 from competitionaccessories.com. they are loose fitting for a comforty ride. the kevlar is from the lower shin area to above the knee (mid thigh), hips and rear. the kevlar protection is soft and get when the weather cools cause it acts like a wind barrier. hope that helps J

Free Wheel-e, were you the one who was going to get a leather riding suit, but decided on the kevlar jeans instead?

I have 2 pair of the "Draggin' Jeans" brand.

The "Sliders" that you are looking at have more armor in them that the "Draggin" jeans I believe (compare them to each other in the hip and leg areas), so I would recommend the "Sliders".

The feel of the Kevlar patching takes a little getting used to. But it's no big deal. I'm wearing my Draggin' jeans as I write this, and I didn't do any riding today.

The latest that I've heard on this topic is that the Draggin' Jeans brand now offers a version that is fleece-lined.

You might check those out, too.

I'm wearing my chaps, vest and fingerless gloves right now. There is 6" of wet snow on the ground and the motorcycles are put away. My wife is ready to call the boys in the white coats as she thinks I've lost it...

I ordered a pair of the "draggin jeans" almost 3 weeks ago from cruiser customizing. The site said buyer would receive confirming email of order. I did not get one so I inquired and was informed item was not in stock but would be by 2/16. Still no word from the company about my order and it is now 2/26. To their credit they have not charged my credit card. You might want to call before placing order to make sure your size is in stock. I ordered size 34x34. Hope they are worth the wait.

while they are sertainly much better protected then plain jeans, it is still not enough protection for my taste.
i admit never had experience with them myself (i have fieldsheer textile/mash pants) but thats what my buddy has as his riding pants. he loves them.

hope this helps.

Yeah, I remember you were looking for buckskins.
I did a quick search and it was DachWuff that was looking at getting gear more like what a crotchrocket rider (racer) would wear with knee sliders and all, that I was thinking about.
