I have a 96 vulcan 750. I broke the ignition while removing it to put new front forks on and then decided just to delete it and the engine run/ start button all together.

The problem is how the ignition snapped I can't tell which wires need to be connected for the On/running position and for the starting position on the new ignition.

There are 7 wires going into the stock ignition.

brown + white

There are 3 wires going in to the engine run/start switch

I really just need to know what needs to be connected to what to bring it down to the standard three connection ignition off/run/start

I can get a few pictures of everything if it helps. This is my first time here so I don't know your forums well. Thank you for the help

I have eliminated the ignition switch on several bikes and a couple of cars when it failed. The Clymer manual has a nice schematic of the Vulcan wiring showing what goes where.
