I told you!;)

Congrats!(y)

Show us your ride documents if you want.
Here is a screenshot from my planning document.
I ended up getting into Littleton after midnight. My stop times were all well over the planned stop times.
It was possible to get the 1500 mile on this trip, but we had breakfast with friends out there.
It was good friend's of my wife and that was more important than the 1500 achievement.

Here's the tracking data for my ride.
Ecoregion World Map Rectangle Font

Somewhere I have copies of my ride documentation, I'll have to dig that up.
Ether way, in addition to the ride documentation, I was able to export a .GPX file from Calimoto that mapped the entire ride with a GPS coordinate every 2 seconds.

If you've never looked at a .GPX file, this is a sample from the middle of it. The whole file was about 7.5MB.

Good idea.

Safe to say you're the only Iron Butt here. .. at least for several years, a decade? I've been here ten.

Wonder if there's space to put Iron Butt 2022 under your profile pic, under your name.

Edit: Maybe that's not an option anymore, don't see the button for it.

Editeded: you can type it in the slot for your vehicle. Where mine has 2003 VN750 you can type in Iron Butt 2022. ;)

Not to hijack Jason's thread here but can anyone tell me how to enlarge the screenshots he posted so I can see them better? I'm on a laptop which in theory should be big enough but I'm guessing that I'm missing whatever the rest of you are doing that enables you to see and comment.

On my phone I just pinch the screen.

On the computer I would right click, select 'open image in new tab'. Then while viewing, hold CTRL and scroll the mouse wheel forward to zoom in.

If you have the option you can also open the image in a photo viewer, then zoom.

CTRL and scroll forward will also zoom in on a web page, make text larger, etc.

Your helpful knowledge once more proves boundless, Spockster - thank you!
I had been trying the CTRL-scroll to zoom method but when applied to the smaller inline image, the results were too blurry to make out. The suggestion to first open the image in a new tab however is pure genius. All these years, I've seen that option at the top of my right-click menu and paid no attention to it. It's a game changer!

You're welcome and thanks.

Using a new tab helps with a slower connection, since you don't have to reload the original page when you go back. Finally got fiber optic here, so I don't have to worry about slow connections anymore. Huge improvement in the speed.

Punching the center mouse wheel automatically opens in a new tab.

Sweet! Yeet!

Under your name you can put Iron Butt Club Member. As far as I know you're the only one here.

Another ride or two and your back tire is going to look like mine. Is that a Tourmaster? I need to take some pics of my tire. Got my money's worth out of it.

Good idea! I added it.

Yes it's a Tourmaster. I put it on at 13509.1 on 4/21/2021. I'm just over 24k now.

I don't see your title yet.

You got a bit more mileage out of your rear tire, mine is showing cords at roughly 6000 miles. I was romping quite a bit keeping up with a VRod.

Planning to go with the Shinko 777 next, higher weight rating and I prefer the tread pattern over the Tourmaster, but they served me well.

Ahh Title! I put it in my signature. Well now it's in both places .

And this is why you get <40 MPG :ROFLMAO:, but smiles per gallon matter far more!
I did like the feel of the 777s slightly more. Seemed softer and grippier, but the tread life of the 230s has been good to me.
I'm not a daily peg dragger, so I'm fine with that tradeoff.
I had a defective front 777 chunk out on me. It was replaced for free under warranty, but it still left me a bit uneasy.
The replacement lasted a full life, so I guess I just got a bad tire.
